A new season of vibrant orchestral concerts
and piano recitals.

No less than five different orchestras will perform at the Victoria Hall including the Philharmonia conducted by the maestro, Vladimir Ashkenazy. The BBC Philharmonic appear on four occasions, two of them with their new Chief Conductor Juanjo Mena. Following the orchestra’s aborted tour of Japan because of the earthquake and tsunami, they return with the sensational blind pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii and conductor Yutaka Sado for a special concert in early March, hence the two consecutive Friday concerts! The Hallé appear on two occasions, the first one presenting their annual Viennese concert with special guest Lesley Garrett. The CBSO make a single appearance with the popular Vassilly Sinaisky conducting Elgar’s Second Symphony, 100 years after it was written! The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic return with their
exciting conductor Vassily Petrenko and soloist Kathy Stott. Season tickets start from only £98.00 and subscription makes sound sense! Another wonderful season is in prospect!

Five internationally acclaimed pianists have been engaged for the season at the Forum Theatre.  Nikolai Demidenko opens the series in October followed by Freddy Kempf. Alexandra Dariescu returns by popular demand as does Paul Lewis following his sell-out appearance in March.  Martin Roscoe completes the series celebrating his sixtieth birthday year.

A five recital season ticket is priced at £80.00, only £16.00 per recital and offers tremendous value as complimentary refreshments and a programme are included in the price.
